There's nothing like traveling and experiencing new things to give you design inspiration. Fall is my favorite time of year for a lot of reasons, but I love to travel in the fall. The beautiful colors and crisp air are so relaxing.

Last fall my husband and I traveled to Seattle for our 10th anniversary. Everyone talks so much about the rainy weather, but our week was full of sun and cool air. We both enjoyed it and I especially enjoyed the ferry rides to the islands. Fall is normally associated with mums, but Pike Place Market had the most gorgeous selection of huge, fresh dahlias in every color you can imagine. It was truly inspiring.
